Badami Kheer/Almond kheer


Milk 2 litre

sugar 1 cup

Rice flour half cup

Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

Pistachios and almonds chopped

Grinded almonds 6

khoya  100 gm(milk solids obtain from curdled milk)


Boil milk add cardamom pwd and leave on low flame for one hour when its colour become brownish add rice flour and stir continuously with wooden spoon. cook 10 minutes then add sugar and grinded almonds when kheer get thick texture add khoya and stir well.


If you do not have khoya you can add qalaqand.

If you do not have rice flour you can soak rice in water for one hour.Strain in a strainer and let it dry on paper towel..Then grind in coffee grinder to form coarse powder.

garnish with almonds and pistachios. Serve cold.

For rich brownish colour add brown sugar in place of regular sugar.
