Spicy Fried fish

Spicy Fried fish

This Pakistani style spicy fried fish recipe is shallow fried. I have used mushka whole fish, which can be shallow fried easily. Freshly Roasted cumin and coriander powder gives nice aroma and there would be no bad smell of fish.

How to remove smell from fish.

First of all, rub wheat flour on fish pieces and leave it for 10 minutes. Then wash the fish pieces with water. There would be no bad smell.

Spicy fried fish

Whole fish 3 pieces (Mushka fish)

Salt 1tsp

Red chilli powder 1tbsp

Roasted Cumin powder 1/2tsp

Vinegar 1 tsp

Flour/Maida or gram flour/baisan 1 tbsp

Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

Roasted Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

Chaat masala powder 1/2 tsp

Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Ajwain 1/2 tsp

Garlic paste 1 tbsp

Green chilli paste 1 tbsp

Mix all the given ingredients in a bowl and make marinade for fish.

Coat all the fish pieces with this marinade. Now leave it to marinate for 30 minutes.

Now heat some oil for shallow frying in a non stick pan.

Put fish pieces in pan, slide a spatula gently underneath it to prevent it from sticking. Cook the fish for three to four minutes on one side and then gently flip it over. Fish generally cooks at about 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
