dumpukht mutton curry 

Mutton dum pakht is the mutton cook on low heat .


Mutton 1 kg, with bones
oil 5 tbsp
Medium size Onions 6 (sliced)
Ginger paste 2 tbsp
Garlic paste 2 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp

Coriander powder roasted 1 tbsp

Salt 1 n 1/2 tsp
Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
Yogurt 1 /4 cup

Cooking Directions
Heat oil in a pot.
Add sliced onion, sautey  till it lightly change its colour.

Add in ginger paste and garlic paste, fry again till it releases aroma.
Then add mutton fry nicely till the oil starts to float.
Mix in salt,coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric ,cumin pwd,yogurt and fry well.
Add 2 cups of hot water ,cover the lid and Simmer on low flame (cook on dum).dont open the lid.till the oil starts to float and meat is tender.

Add chaat masala powder,1 tsp and garam masala powder 1/4 tsp.and turn off the flame.

Garnish with green chillies and coriander leaves.
