These Beef resha kababs are very easy to make and rich in Pakistani flavours of food.These have been made from shredded beef in a pot.It is a big hit for dinner parties and you can make them ahead of time.There is no need of frying like other kababs so can make this dish for your dinner party,a day before the event.Just heat it up at the time of serving.Give it a smoke of coal,then garnish and serve.

Dry Ingredients
13-15 whole red chilli

2 tsp coriander

1 tbsp whole garam masala

1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp peanuts
Dry roast all above ingredients and add 1 tsp poppy seed ,1tsp Desicated coconut and 1 tsp fenugreek seeds(methi dana) Grind all these in coffee grinder and make a powder ….

Ingredients for masala


1kg boneless beef cut into small cubes /boti

2 tbsp raw papaya paste or meat tenderizer

1 cup fresh thick yoghurt

2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

2tbsp Besan or gram flour
1 and 1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup oil

Shan tikka boti masala or behari boti masala 1 tbsp(optional)

4 small onion sliced

Coal for smoke

For garnish

Onion slices

Green chillies

Chopped coriander leaves

Deep Fry 4 sliced onion till golden brown.
Take them out from oil.

Grind onion with 1 cup yogurt.
Now add salt,raw papaya paste ,tikka boti masala,2 tbsp roasted gram flour,and grinded dry mixture in grinded brown onion ..Mix well.

Marinate 1 kg beef boti ,with this mixtue for 1 hours or more.
Heat 3/4 cup oil in a pot and add marinated beef .(you can use the leftover oil used for frying brown onions).fry well and add 1 glass of water cook on low flame for 1 hour and 30 minutes.Stir occasionally.

When meat is tender and water from meat dries out.fry well till oil separates and break the meat (shred)with spoon.Cook more if meat is not shredded.Be accurate with quantity of oil and yogurt otherwise kabab would be very dry.Now put a piece of burning coal in pot and cover the lid for 10 minutes.


your Degchi Kabab or Resha kabab are ready to serve.Garnish with sliced onion,green chillies and coriander leaves.
