Green chicken Karahi 

Chicken (cut in pieces) 1 kg

yogurt 1/2 cup
1 medium size Onion cut in slices
ginger paste 1/2 cup

garlic paste 1 tbsp

salt 1 tsp

Fresh thin green chillies 8 for grinding 

Butter 1 tbsp

Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)1 tbsp

Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp

6 Green chillies for garnishing 

oil 1/4 cup

Chopped coriander leaves 1/3 bunch

crushed black pepper 1/4 tsp


Heat oil in a pan add onion  and fry on  till it change its colour. Take it out from oil.Then fry ginger n garlic paste and chicken.Fry well because it has lot of ginger paste and frying will give it better taste.Blend onion,yogurt; coriander leaves and green chillies.Add this mixture  in the chicken and fry well.Also add salt and leave to cook on high heat. 
  When chicken is about to tender then add black pepper,Kasuri methi,butter,and garam masala powder…simmer for 5 minutes.Garnish with green chillies.
