Lebanese kabab

It is a guest post provided by Shagufta Ahsan.It is a special dish from Lebanese cuisine,made with shredded beef,potatoes, noodles and peas then coated with eggs and bread crumbs. You can make ahead of time and keep them frozen and fry when needed.

Labenese kabab

Yield,,2 dozens kababs
Boneless Beef  1/2 kg
Noodles boiled 1 cup
Potato boiled 1/2 kg
Green peas boiled 1 cup
Bread crumbs 2 cups
Eggs 2 beaten
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
Green chillies chopped 4
Soya sauce 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Oil for frying
Coriander leaves chopped 1/2 bunch
15-20 Mint leaves chopped

  • Cooking Directions
    Cook beef with ginger garlic paste, soya sauce,water and salt in a pot till water dries out and  beef   becomes tender.

Now shred the beef.

Boil noodles according to package directions and strain.

Boil peas till tender.

Boil potatoes and then mash them.


Take a bowl and add shredded beef,noodles, green peas ,potatoes,coriander,green chillies,black pepper  and mint .Mix well.you can adjust salt n black pepper after mixing all these things together.

Now make long kebab from mixture.

Coat each kabab with beaten eggs and then roll in  bread crumbs.

Keep them in freezer.

When needed, Shallow fry all kababs till they become golden brown.
