Pink Lemonade


Today I am doing a Guest post by Aalia Hassan for refreshing Ramadan drink recipe…which is sparkling pink lemonade….

Ingredients :
6 lemons, juiced and zested

150g (5oz) caster sugar

2tsp grenadine syrup

1 litre (1 3/4pts) sparkling mineral water, chilled
Put the lemon juice, zest and sugar into a large heatproof jug. Pour over 500ml (3/4pt) of freshly boiled water. Stir well until the sugar dissolves. Add the grenadine syrup. Leave to cool. Cover and chill.

Strain the mixture into clean sealable bottles. Top up with mineral water and seal. Serve with lemon slices, mint leaves and rose petals (be sure to use petals that are suitable for food use).
