Beef kofta curry
95% lean beef mince 1/2 kg
poppy seeds(khashkhas): 2 tsp
bhunay huay chanay or gram flour (baisan): 1/2 cup
red chili powder 1 tea spoon
salt 1 tea spoon
garam masala: cloves=6-7 ; black cardamom=1; whole black pepper =1/2 tea spoon; cinamon stick = 1&1/2 inch stick …. grind this garam masala to make powder.
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Raw onion 1 medium size chopped
Yogurt 1 tsp
Oil 1/4 cup
Onion 2 medium
Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Yogurt 1/4 cup
Red chili powder= 1 and 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Turmeric powder (haldi) 1/2 tsp
Corriander powder(dhania powder) 2 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons
Green chillies chopped 1tbsp
Garam masala powder 1/4 teaspoon
Method For koftas:
1-Grind khashkhas and bhunay chanay
2-Add dry spices, ginger garlic paste ,raw onion ,yogurt and ground garam masala and khashkhas and channa powder in mince and mix in chopper 1-2 times so that its nicely mixed other wise the koftas will break while cooking after chopping the mince add 1/4 cup water in the mince, as khashkhas and chana powder make it very dry.
3- Make koftas.
Method For making gravy and cooking koftas:
1-Slice the onion thinly.
2-Fry sliced onions in oil till golden brown, and take out from oil.
3,Grind onions with yogurt.then add in the pan .Also add ginger garlic paste and all remaining spices for gravy.
4-Cook it and Let the water dry and then roast the masala well until the oil is separated then add 1 cup water and cook for 10 minutes.
5,Then add prepared koftas and cook on low flame for 20 minutes without stirring.
6,Then add chopped green chillies,coriander leaves and 1/4 tsp garam masala powder and serve.
