Healthy Baked Oatmeal squares

These baked oatmeal squares are easy to make.These bars are soft and have a nice baked smell of oats ..It  is a healthy and quick breakfast recipe.

Healthy Baked Oatmeal Squares/Soft baked breakfast bars

Ingredients
1/2 cup olive oil

1 /2 cup brown sugar
½ cup grinded sugar
1 teaspoons vanilla essence
1 /2 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 and 1/2 cups flour
Coco powder 1 tsp
½ cups instant rolled oats or Quaker Oats

DIRECTIONS

  1. Beat together egg, oil, vanilla , brown sugar and grinded sugar; add sifted flour ,coco,oats and baking soda  and mix well.Do not over mix.For better results keep the covered dough in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  2. Put all the dough in a 8 inches square baking pan,lined with parchment paper.
  3. Press from all sides.
  4. Bake at 400 deg;F or 200 degree centigrade.

Bake for 20 minutes or until top is puffed and crackly and edges just start to turn light golden brown. Let cool for only 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.Then let it cool on wire rack for 5 minutes and cut into squares .Store in an air tight container.

These are best enjoyed the day they are made, but will keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
